A few thoughts on the non-conference schedule, most of which we already knew: -- It's better than last year's schedule, but not by much. Iowa State and Florida State are very good games. The Empire Classic is two solid games. What kills is it Nebraska in the Gavitt Games. Was told St. John's wanted to play the game at Carnesecca, and that limited the pool of opponents. -- I think the schedule needed one more high-caliber game. Six buy games is too many. -- Disappointing slate overall. Expected better after last year.
